ACETYLENE REFILL
ACETYLENE REFILL
Air and acetylene together have an explosive range of 2.2% to 85% by volume. Where acetylene cylinders are kept or used, avoid releasing acetylene into the air, and make sure the area is well-ventilated.
- Acetylene cylinders must wait at least 24 hours before being used for gas extraction when they are transported horizontally and then positioned vertically again after transport.
- This will guarantee that the acetone inside the cylinder is properly redistributed.
- The following things can happen when cylinders are used too fast after being positioned vertically once more: * When opening the top valve, substantial amounts of acetone can escape. Because acetone feels slippery on the skin, the client can mistake this for water or oil.
- It should not be common practice to open the top valve without a fitting regulator because doing so can pose a fire risk.
- The presence of acetone droplets in the gas causes the flame to be extremely unstable when a regulator is used with a twin hose and a torch. This is frequently referred to as “spitting”.
- The best course of action is to allow the cylinder to rest for at least 24 hours (more time may be needed in colder environments).

CALIBRATION GASES
CALIBRATION GASE
A calibration gas is a reference gas or gas mixture used as a comparative standard in the calibration of analytical instruments, like gas analyzers or gas detectors. Therefore, a calibration gas has to be of a precisely defined nature or composition, like zero gas or span gas, for example, 500 ppm carbon monoxide in nitrogen.
- To be a calibration gas, the gas must be traceable to a national or international standard. Traceability is the unbroken chain of comparisons to an acceptable international standard. The calibration gas standard establishes a known analyzer response to a certified chemical component concentration.
- In the calibration gas, preparation tolerance (PT) and certification/analytical accuracy (CA) are of utmost importance.

NITROGEN
NITROGEN
Numerous gases are present in our environment. But do you know which gas makes up the majority of the composition? It is nitrous oxide. If we go into the specifics of the makeup of the atmosphere, it is made up of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% argon, and minute amounts of carbon dioxide, krypton, and hydrogen.
- Nitrogen gas has two molecules of Nitrogen therefore, the molecular formula of this gas is N2. It is a non-metallic element that occupies Group 15 of the periodic table.
- Nitrogen gas is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, which was discovered by a well-known scientist named Daniel Rutherford in 1772.
- However, its name was derived from the Greek words ‘nitrogen’ and ‘genes’ which means niter forming.

R 404A/ DISPOSABLE & REFILL
THE RECHARGEABLE CYLINDER IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND REMAINS ON YOUR PROPERTY
Its main application is new plants for medium and low refrigeration temperatures. The theoretical cooling capacity is 5% lower than the R-502 at evaporation temperatures equal to -40ºC. The coefficient of performance (COP) is between about 5 and 8% less than with R-502. If overheating increases, the R-404A COP may be higher than that of R-502. In the case of the retrofits of R-502 and its HCFC substitutes (R-408A, DI-44), it is necessary to eliminate 95% of the original mineral oil or alkylbenzene, replace it with an oil-based on polyol esters, change the dryer filter, expansion valve, rubber O-rings with plastic ones and in some cases oversize the condenser. If it is used as an R-22 retrofit, it will also be necessary to replace the safety valves and other calibrated elements according to the R-22 pressures.
